This time next week, ill be in las vegas! Unfortunately, not for play, but for work. It's my first jewelry trade show and I am excited and nervous all at once.

Another piece of great news, Kelli found my iPod that I have been searching for, for months! Got the new Gaga cd loaded on it already! :) :)

All assistants, admin, executive, and personal......

Let me just put a disclaimer: I love my current job, but their are somethings that annoy me, and did with my other jobs, as well.

Why is it that assistants, most time are the low man in the pecking order, but do the most work? And to top it off, they are not allow to have any sort of outside life?

Here is my open letter to all CEOs, owners, SVPs, Sr Managers, etc:
We have families too! Just like you, we have a world outside work. You are not in jeopardy of losing your job if you take a personal call at work because you have an emergency, or you are late a day or two because of traffic, yet we are. There are times we have to take care of stuff outside of work (i know this is a shock), it shouldn't be a crime to take our lunch outside the office a day or two. Please remember where you come from, and one point of time, you were most likely in our shoes. If you weren't, you probably went to some crazy good college, because Mommy and Daddy were picking up the bill, or even better they handed you your job on a silver platter. We didn't have that, we work for our jobs and seniority. Also, please keep in mind, that it doesn't matter how long someone has worked there, they still have a family either way.

Yesterday, I got a call from my mom asking "what do you think about bringing home 4 kittens?" My first thought was "Kelli is going to kill me." Even though Kelli does not live with me, she may in the closer nearer future, and my mother has officially said no to her getting a puppy. Anyway, my mom proceeded to tell me that the kittens were orphaned, roughly 4 weeks old, and the person's deck they were found under wanted to "put them in a box and throw them somewhere." Without another word, I immediately started researching how to care for a 4 week old kitten that doesn't have a "queen." I called my mom told her everything she needed to get/know to get them through the night. Luckily, I have a half day at work today, so Kelli and I will be making the trip up to north jersey to pick up the little rugrats. This isn't the first time i've researched fostering orphaned kittens. I've actually considered doing it for the humane society, but unfortunately I didn't have the time nor the money to do it. But I am very excited this fell into my lap. Luckily, the kits are 4 weeks, so it's only 7 feedings a day not 12. But at 4 weeks it's the start of the weaning process which maybe hard because they have gone through quite a lot and probably will take at least a week to get settled.

It's a big job but I am super excited for it! I'll post progress updates once they are settled!
